How
can I get an AmTryke® therapeutic tricycle for my child?
You can get an AmTryke® tricycle for your child one of two
ways. You can purchase a tryke by going to the AMBUCS™ Store
or if you are unable to afford the cost of a tryke, you can place
your child's name on our Wish List.

What
is the Wish List?
When a child's parents/guardians are unable to afford the cost
of an AmTryke® and the required forms are filled out and submitted
to the AMBUCS™ Resource Center, the child's name is placed
on our Wish List. When a chapter raises the funds the next name
is picked off the list, the parent/guardian is notified and the
tryke is shipped to the child's parents/guardian.

What
Forms Are Required to be Filled Out?
There are three forms that must be submitted to the local AMBUCS™
chapter or the Resource Center. They are:
Request Form - This
form can be filled out by the parent or therapist. Make sure a
physical address is provided since we cannot ship to a PO Box.
Assessment Form
- National AMBUCS™, Inc. and AmTryke®, LLC believe in
therapeutic intervention and require that either a therapist or
physician be consulted before a tryke is provided for a child.
This form must be filled out completely and signed off on by either
the child's therapist or physician.
Liability Waiver
- The parent or guardian must sign the Waiver an submit it with
the other forms.

How
Do I Know What Size Tryke Will Work for my Child?
There are four trykes available for use. The AmTryke®
Sizing Charts will help you decide which of these four sizes
will work best for your child:
[Top]
How
Do the Trykes Work?
The AmTryke® works with a continuous chain mechanism that
moves the hands and feet together. This allows the stronger limbs
to help the weaker limbs and build strength and stamina.

Can
the Trykes be Adapted Further?
Yes, while the trykes in their standard form will work for most
children we realize that many children require further adaptations
for the tryke to work for them. AmTryke®, LLC has developed
a line of accessory items to further adapt a tryke to a child's
needs. You can check these accessories out in Store.

How
are the Trykes Shipped?
AmTryke® tricycles ship either by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
Accessories ship UPS Ground.
